This sword belongs to Saijyo-saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold failed double habaki.
Blade length: 69.7 cm or 27.44 inches.
Sori :1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 3.02 cm or 1.18inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.11cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.68cm or 0.26 inches.
The weight of the sword : 685 grams.
Era : Edo period Kanei era.
Shape: Wide and thick blade, deep Sori and Kissaki longer
Jigane: Ko-itame hada well grain, Jinie attached thick and beautiful Osaka Jigane.
Hamon: Nie-deki. From Hamachi, Notare then Gunome-midare down and up. Boshi is almost 1turn Yakisagaru style

Special feature: Kawauchi Kami Fujiwara Kunisuke 1st generation and Izumi Kami Kunisada studied from Horikawa Kunihiro and Echigo Kami Kunitomo. After Kunihiro passed away, both of them moved and actived in Osaka. He is from the Ishido faction of Ise,Kobe so his Gunome-midare is round shape.

From Aoi Art: This peace has well grained Itame mixed with Mokume, Jinie attached and Suguha-deki with Gunome-midare. Deep Nioi with Sunagashi and Kinsuji work.
The quality is similar as Kunisada but the elegance is better than it. There are very few swords has Mei of Kunisuke 1st generation and we can see his sword was carefully produced. We  recommend this clear and bright sword.
