Special feature:Kaneshige was a sword smith who flourished during the war in Chiba prefecture, but this Kaneshige is supposed to be a different person. This work has the same named Mei and in Navy Koshirae, but we judge this to be made by different Kaneshige.

Koshirae : Imperial Japanese Navy Gunto Koshirae in very good condition. Sayamaki is made of leather.

From Aoi Art:This Koshirae is in very good condition, which means the owner of this sword is supposed to have just graduated from naval academy and have had little time before leaving for battle fronts. Many navies died with the warships. If there is Gunto left, that means the owner survived the war, possibly. It is over 70 years from the WW2, a lot of people died for that. In the circumstance that we have less and less people with war experiences, this sword talks to you with its appearance.

Showa-to, not forged blade.
