Special feature:Kamei Akihira was born in 1945 at swordsmith in Gifu prefecture and became a student of Kanenobu Niwa to produce cut well making swords in Kamo-gun, Gifu Prefecture. He studied under Niwa Kanenobu, an important intangible cultural property designated by Gifu Prefecture, and received numerous awards at Shinsaku Meito ten. His style is to produce a practical sword, which has a good reputation for being well-balanced and sharp. In the judging, he is a swordsmith who has been selected twice for the effort award and is highly evaluated.
