The blade is polished.
Habaki : Copper single habaki.
Blade length : 63.4 cm or 24.9 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.93 cm or 1.154 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.77 cm or 0.7 inches.
Kasane : 0.59 cm or 0.232 inches.
Era : Edo period Meireki era. 1655.
Shape : The blade has suitable Sori and a long Kissaki, Bohi are carved into both sides of the blade.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained with jinie attached, the texture appears well.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare, sunagashi and kinsuji work. Boshi is round shape hakikake style.
Special Feature : Houki Kami Fujiwara Hirotaka was active at Echizen province.
He was a very skillful swordsmith making Kanemoto style sword, gunome midaire with thick Nioikuchi and also Doranba hamon.
He was descended from Echizen Shimosaka probably Yasushige.
Saya : Black ishimeji style.
Tsuba : On the round shape iron Tsuba, Tools are carved with open work.
Menuki : Some design is carved into the Shakudo plate.
Fuchikashira : On the iron plate, some design is carved.
From Aoi-Art : Hirotaka was well known for his high-skill and Sosyu den, Bizenden and gunome midare with thick nioikuch and so on.
This sword has active gunome midare like Harima Daijyo Shigetaka.
There are some scratches and rough parts. But the signature is good. We guarantee the signature genuine.
