The blade was polished.
Blade length : 70.33cm or 27.68 inches.
Sori :1.36 cm or 0.53 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.21cm or 1.26 inches.
Width at the Kissaki :3.21 cm or 1.26 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.

Era : Edo period around Kanbun era.
Shape : Wide and thick Katana with nice Sori, longer Kissaki.
Jigane : Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. Nice Hizen Jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki, there are double Hamon and Gunome Midara.
The Boshi is round shape and double Ha.

Special feature:Hizen Koku Kawachi kami Fujiwara Masahiro sometimes engrave „Shintan Saku Kore“ on the Nakago.
Masahiro was a son of the Masahiro the first. His first neme is Masanaga.
He received the titile Musashi Daijo, and Musashi Kami. In Kanbun 5th, he changed his name as Kawachi Kammi Masahiro.
He passed away on August 6th, Genroku 13th at the age of 73.
This blade is similar to the fist generation one.

Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Tsuba : Round shape iron Tsuba, phoenix and pine tree are engraved with gold color.
Menuki : Shishi dog is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Iron, pampas grass is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: We appreciate the wonderful Hamon of fist and second generation.
It reminds us of thunderheads and lightning in the summer blue sky. This blade was well made. And also the Koshirae is nice.
It is rare that there are engraving production date and „Motte Shintan Saku Kore“.
