From Oumi Daijyo Fujiwara Tadahiro: Everybody! are you fine?
I’m Oumi Daijyo Fujiwara Tadahiro and talk from the heaven.
370 years has passed after We mede this sword.
At Kanei 9th my father passed away and succeeded Tadahiro family at age 19 years of ages. At that time there are many deshi(student) helped a lot for making swords. We have to move to near Saga castle which was managed by Nabeshima family.
We are 15 member of the Hashimoto family and 60 students went Saga castle and stayed there made ordered the detailed information of the shape and jigane and also hamon from the Nabeshima Daimyo. Nabeshima Daimyo decided to Japanese swords to export other district. The members were Masahiro, Hirosada, Yoshifusa Tadakini Hirokatsu and Yoshiyuki and others. My school was controlled by Nabeshima Daimyo. and made nice shape, fantastic Jigane and also elegant Suguha hamon or gunome midare active summer clouds like Yukihiro.
It means it is very hard to whole individual because of the Nabeshima daimyo family’s control. So we served for the Daomyo like samurai. I made this sword with my students by our best exhausting effort. Why I engraved the signature on the fromt Katana mei is my secret. As you know my wakizashi must made the signature on the front Katana mei and in case of making sword, the signature must engrave on the Tachi Mei . this rule is very important. But exceptionally I made this sword different way which is secret the reason. So this sword is very quite rear sword. I remind about this sword. the sword must be one of the our best quality blade. We hope you will keep the sword in good condition for a long period. Master of Aoi Bijyutsu Tsuruta san said that even in Gendai period, it is impossible to make Hizen blade especially nice Jigane and also wonderful
hamon. In the near future I’d like to talk with you. sayonara!
