Jigane: Itamehada looks a little bit rough. Surface looks very typical to Dewa Daijo Fujiwara Kunimichi’s work.
Hamon: Niedeki, Midare like Soshuden, with deep Nioikuchi reminding of Shizu. Sunagashi and Kinsuji work well in Hachu. Boshi becomes narrow and turns back: unique Mimasaka Boshi. There is Ohada on the front.

Special feature: Dewa Daijo Fujiwara Kunimichi is a pupil of Horikawa Kunihiro. He is supposed to have succeeded to Dewa Daijo between March of Keicho 18 and March of Keicho 20. He often made Notare Boshi with sharp tip: Mimasaka-ish. For his first works have sometimes signature of “Rai”. His oldest work ever found is engraved production date of Keian 5, at the age of 77. The only school which he couldn’t make was Bizenden, especially he was really good at Soshuden. He had left the greatest works to the world among Kunihiro pupils. Above all, he is most evaluated for tracing Shizu and Samonji.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round-shaped copper Tsuba. Pine tree and river are engraved. The rim is covered with Shakudo.
Fuchikashira: On Shakudo-Nanako plate, horse and trees are engraved with gold color. Mei: Yokoya Eiji

From Aoi Art: This is made with Soshusen, Shizu-ish way among all. Sunagashi and Kinsuji work well in Hachu. Gunomemidare with deep Nioikuchi is mixed with O-Gunomemidare. This work shows his overwhelming skill as a swordsmith. This blade has a nice Koshirae, too. We truly recommend this to you.
