Era: the late Muromachi period, Eiroku 10 (1567)
Shape: the wide and thick blade with deep curves and long kissaki. The nakago is ubu.
Jigane: Ko-itamehada and Mokume are mixed. The clear utsuri is on the jigane. There is kizu on the jigane.
Hamon: Niedeki suguha with ashi, yo, and sunagashi. The hamon is partially doubled. Boshi is rounded.

Features: Bishu Osafune Sukesada was the swordsmith school at the end of the Muromachi period. This period is also called Sengoku Jidai(Warring States period), and warlords dreamed of unifying Japan and fought many wars. Many swords were made at that time. This sword is valuable because it has ubunakago and retains the appearance of the time it was made.
