Explanation: The sword was made in 1862 which is called Bunkyu 2nd first of January by Asai Kanemitsu.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku anking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :silver single habaki.
Blade length :70.4cm or 27.71 inches.
Sori :1.7cm or 0.66 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.02 or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.33cm or 0.91 inches.
Kasane : 0.68cm or 0.26 inches.
The weight of the sword: 835 grams.
Era : Edo period Bunkyu 2nd(1862)
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with suitable sori and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane :Itame had and mokume had mixed with jinie attach
and chikei work.
Hamon :Niedeki cyoji midair and gunome midair mixed with sunagashi and kinsuji work.
Bo-shi is midarekomi and hakikake style with sunagashi, kinsuji.

Special feature:Asai Kanemotsu was working at Bishu province in the late Edo period.But unfortunately he must obliged to stop making sword due to the Haito Edict. This sword is Hadamono cyoji midair and gunome midair mixed. Especially Kinsuji in Hamon is very active.
