This sword belongs to jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade is polished.
Habaki : gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 63.5 cm or 25 inches.
Sori : 0.9 cm or 0.354 inches.
Width at the hamachi : 3.11 cm or 1.22inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.32 cm or 0.91 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with long kissaki.
Jigane : Koitame hada is well grained with jinie attach and clear Utsuri appear.
Shinogoji : Masame hada and itame hada are mixed.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha from the Hamachi and then Choji midare hamon actile and ashi work. Inside of the Hamon, there are ashi and yo work.
Special feature : Bichu (No) Kami Tachibana Yasuhiro (His real name was Tomita Gorozaemon) was the founder of Kishu-Ishido School, It is said that he was an elder brother of Tameyasu. He moved to Osaka and worked as the founder of Osaka-Ishido school. After became Bichu (No) Kami, he started to engrave the crest of an open chrysanthemum flower on the back side of the tang.
This sword was donated to the shin-to shrine or a Buddhist temple in May1669, considering no chrysanthemum on the tang.
Menuki : Syakudo plain plate.
Saya : Black roiro say.
Tsuba : Unusual iron tsuba, open work abstruct design is engraved.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, plant design is engraved with gold color.
