Genji Gan Nen Kinoe-Ne 8 Gatsu Hi (August 1864)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saki ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki :copper singla habaki (the habaki looks original)
Blade length : 74.9 cm or 29.48 inches.
Sori :1.4cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.26 cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.8cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with suitable sori
and longer kissaki healthy gorgeous sword.
Jigane :Koitame had and mokume had mixed like Hizen style texture.
There are small 2 Kizu at 10cm from the Kissaki.
Hamon :Konie deck cyoji midair hamon continued from the Hamachi area
to the top boshi area. In the Hamon, many asi and also sunagashi, kinsuji
work with deep nioikuchi.
Bo-shi is sansaku style noter and round shape.

Special feature:The Hosokawa Yoshinori was a nephew
of the Hosokawa Masayosi real name is Hosokawa Go-nosuke
and learned sword making technique from his master Masayoshi.
He became a sword craftsman of the Sakura domain
and lived Tochigi Kanuma province. They made swords
Masayoshi and Masamori and also Yoshinori.
Masamori made as sama as his master’s long sword
and 2 swords became Jyuyo Token.
I think Yoshinori helped a lot for his master Masayoshi.
