Signature: Tanba Kami Yoshimichi (Osaka 3rd generation)

Shinshinto: Chu jyo saku Wazamono: Settsu.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold failed double habaki.
Blade length(nagasa) : 70.6 cm or 27.79 inches.
Sori : 2.2cm or 0.86 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.1 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.75cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Edo period Genroku era.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick
with deep sori and longer Kissaki nice looking shape.
There is a tiny chip in the Fukura.
Kitae :Koitame had well grained with jinie attach
beautiful nice oosaka jigane.
Hamon :From the Hamachi, suguha hamon
and then Sudareba hamon very active.
Boshi:Round shape with circle yak.

Special feature: The Mishina School in Kyoto hatched four schools;
Kyo-Tamba (No) Kami, Fushimi-Tamba (No) Kami, Osaka-Tamba (No) Kami
and Yamato (No) Kami. Kyo-Tamba (No) Kami Yoshimichi
the First made this wakizashi. He was the Third son of Kanemichi in Mino province.
His eldest brother is Iga (No) Kami Kinmichi.
The family moved to Kyoto and was approved Tamba (No) Kami in 1595.
Yoshimichi inquired into Soshu-den and invented Sudare-ba hamon.
It is said that he continued forging sword until 1634 and passed away around 1638.
He made this wakizashi before achieved sudare-ba.
This sword is 3rd generation Oosaka Tanba,
Because the Kissaki hamon is round shape
with a circle Yaki hamon. please watch the Kissaki hamon.

Koshirae :
Saya : dark brown nice color saya.
Tsuba :On the round shape iron Tsuba, landscape is engraved:
Cyosyu Hagi Jyu Tomohisa Saku.
He was called Inoue and real name is Inoue Yukiuemon Tomohisa.
He was good at landscape motif and worked late edo period
at Cyosyu province.
Menuki : Flower is engraved by syakuddo with gold color.

From Aoi Art : This generation Oosaka Tanba Kami Yoshimichi is
well known sudareba hamon. He left his special feature to make
a circle hamon on the Boshi hamon.
