From Aoi Art: This work is a long and wide body with a raw blade, a stackable enough work with a deep warp, and a good appearance
This is work. Nowadays, the number of works on the eyes is decreasing
and it can be said that it is the keynote.
Norikatsu who was Mito’s warrior at that time became a disciple of Tokumune,
studied the swords in Masame hada, and then went out to Edo
and studied from Hosokawa Masayoshi and Koyama Munetsugu.
After learning from Ishido Unjyu Korekazu He returned to his homeland Mito province.
It is thought that there were also influenced such as Sendai Kokubu,
Ichige Tokurin, etc.
At that time Sendai Kunikane was well known sword maker as making Masamehada
and influenced a lot to the sword makers and sword collectors
around Sendai to Hitachi province. Of course He was influenced
from Kunikane and decided to make Masame hada swords.
He succeeded to make Masame hada and welcomed from Many Samurai
and high ranking samurai.
If there is an opportunity to polish in the future,
we will introduce a good polisher who is high ranking polisher for Masame had polishing.
Koshirae is a simple work with no flashy appearance,
it seems to be a favorite by Samurai at that time.
I would like to introduce you to this Tokkatsu(Norikatsu) masame hada
wonderful sword for you.
