The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold fold single Habaki
Blade length : 71.21 cm or 28.03 inches.
Sori : 2.7 cm or 1.06 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.93 cm or 1.15 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.88 cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.58 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Kamakura peropd.
Shape : The blade is Ubu, wide and thick, has a deep Sori and long Kissaki. Suken, Bonji and Futasujihi are envragved.
Jigane : The mixture of Koitame-hada and Komokume-hada, thick Jinie, watery Utsuri appears well.
Hamon : The mixture of Koitame-hada and Kochoji-midare, Soft and fine Ashi, Sunagashi and Kinsuji work well. Boshi, midare-komi, Yakidume style.
Special Feature : The blade is gorgeous shape and Utubuse gokoro, it’s a typical of early Kamakura period blades.
Sadatoshi was called Yamashiro Koku Ayanokoji, the Hamon looks like Kobizen.
From Aoi Art : This is a representative Kamakura period blade. the shape is really splendid.
Regretfully there’s a Ware at the Kissaki, this is a well-made blade nonetheless.
Although the signature looks fine, we can hardly guarantee a consignment item.
