Kawara town, Sendai city. Mr. Okubo Kenjuro has donated this blade
in September 21st, 1937.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper single Habaki.
Blade length : 69.2 cm or 27.24 inches.
Sori : 2.2 cm or 0.86 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Showa 12(1937)
Shape : The blade is long for the Showa sword.
Wide and has large Sori. The shape is nice.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha with Nezumi Ashi.
Boshi is round Hakikake style.

Special feature: Oshu Sendai Ju Kunimitsu is a sword smith of Miyagi prefecture. His real name is Miura Shogo.
Nagamitsu was a member of the Army swordsmith.
He is active from pre-war and during war Showa Period.
He was born in Meiji 33(1900). He is good at Masame Hada.
But it is not only that, he also made Itame with Masame Hada.

From Aoi Art: According to the Sayagaki, Mr. Okubo Kenjuro has donated this blade
to Mr. Ogisu Lietenant General. This blade was once owned by Mr. Ogisu Lietenant General.


Mr. Ogisu is a Lietenant General. He was born in Aichi pprefecture in January 24th 1884. He passed away in December 22dn 1949.
He commanded the 6th Army at the Battle of Khalkhin Gol.
