The Jigane and hamon both are masterpiece of the copy of Naoe Shizu
Shibata Mitsuo. He passed away but he is well known sword judge.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Saijyo saki (top )ranking.
The blade was polished by mukans polisher.
Habaki: Solid Gold double habaki.(59 grams)
Blade length :75.2 cm or 29.6 inches.
Sori : 1.82 cm or 0.72 inches.

Width at the hamachi: 3.35 cm or 1.32 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.5 cm or 0.98 inches.
Kasane :0.7 cm or 0.28 inches.
The weight of the sword 880 grams.
Era: Edo period Kyowa era.(1802)
Shape: The sword is long, wide and thick with deep sori
and long Okissaki styel nice looking shape.
Jigane:item hada well grained with jinie attach
and chikei work,wonderful nice texture.
Hamon: Nie deki gunome midare with thick nioikuchi
and kogunome midare mixed. in Hamon,
there are much sunagashi, kinsuji work.
Bo-shi is midarekomi gunome midare
with thick nioikuchi and kinsuji work.

Special feature: Satsuma province produced excellently
swordsmiths under the patronage of the Shimazu family.
Motohira, born as a son of retaind swordsmith Oku Motonao
in 1744 was a reprsentative swordsmith in early Shin-to period.
Motohira succeeded the headship of family in 1777
and was appointed Yamato (No) Kami in 1789.
His younger brothers Mototake and Motoyasu were also
excellent swordsmith and their collaboration still survives.
Motohira passed away in 1826, aged 83.

and Oo kissaki style gorgeous style sword.
According to the sayagaki, Mr Shibata Mitsuo sensei
wrote sayagaki which is mentioned as masterpiece.
the blade is healthy shizu Utsushi sword.
Generally Motohira made very healthy blade
but this sword is nice elgant
fantastic shape style active hamon.
It has a lot of sunagashi, kinsuji scatter in Hamon.
Also the blade was polished by Mukansa polisher
top level polish was done and The good jingane and Hamon
are pulled out by polishing high technique.
Habaki is solid gold double habaki.
