This sword belongs to Saijyo saki ranking, ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver double habaki.
Blade length : 69.8 cm or 27.48inches.
Sori :1.3cm or 0.511 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.99 cm or 1.177 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.88 cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.283 inches.
Weight of the blade : 720 grams
Era : Kamakura period Einin 1293.
Shape : This sword is Osuriage Mumei, the Sori is deep and the Kissaki is longer.
Jigane : Koitamehada is grained well, Jinie and Chikei attached. Mokume mixed Masame apparent on the Shinogi-ji.
Hamon : Niedeki, deep Nioikuchi, Suguha which has Sunagashi, Kinsuji, Nijuba and Yo.
Boshi : Deep Nioikuchi, O-maru, Hakikake.

Special Feature : Aritoshi was a swordsmith belonging to Taima school in Yamato province.
There are a very few signed Taima sword left, because the swordsmiths made the swords for the worrier monks so the smiths didn’t need to sign the swords.
Among the 5 major schools in Yamato, Hosho, Tegai and Taima are highly admired by many sword collectors.

Tsuba : On the syakudo nanako plate, waves and others are engraved with gold color.
Menuki : A dragon is engraved by syakudo plate with gold color.
Fichikashira : On the syakudo nanako plate, a dragon is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art : This sword is made by Aritoshi from Taima school.
There’re many features in the Hamon, you’ll get sick of it no matter how many time you look it.
It’s also nice that the sword has no Bohi on the Shinogiji、so that you can see the Hada on the Shinogiji.
