Signature: Mumei(unsigned) attributed to Tegai school.

This sword belongs to Jyo-Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished by good polisher.
Habaki : Gold failed J single habaki.
Blade length : 70.0 cm or 27.56 inches.
Sori :1.6 cm or 0.63 inches.

Width at the hamachi :2.88 cm or 1.134 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.84 cm or 1.724 inches.
Kasane :0.61cm or 0.24 inches.
The weight of the sword 775 grams.
Era : Late Kamakura period,
Shape : Oosuriage mumei with regular width thickness
deep sori and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane :Koitame had and komokume had mixed with jinie attach
thickly and utsuri appear on the Jigane.
Hamon :Konie deck suguha with Uchinoke and double hamon.

Special feature: There had been several swordsmith schools in Yamato
province; Tegai, Shikkake, Taima, Senjuin, Hosho.
At a glance, a beautiful jitetsu of this katana reminds us of Tegai Kanenaga.
The Tegai School swordsmiths tempered fine jitetsu from the Kamakura period to the Nambokucho period.

Koshirae :
Saya : Red-brown roar saya.
Tsuba :On the bigger round shape iron Tsuba,
Inome design is engraved openwork and kick flower is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: On the shakudo nanako plate,
battling Samurai are engraved with gold color.
Menuki : The shape of Kabuto is engraved with gold color.
Mogarashi school.

From Aoi Art : Many shrines and temples were erected in Yamato.

Sole swordsmiths produced swords and Nagamaki respectively.
The work of this Tegai school is a faction on the outside of the Sakai Tengaimon gate,
the west gate of Todaiji Temple. The founder of the Tegaai school was Kanenaga worked
at late Kamakura period. This sword is elegant Jigane with Utsuri appear
and also double hamon and Uchinoke work and also nice utsuri appear.
Shinogi ji also Koitame and komokume hada so the blade must be Muku kitae jigane.
The sword is neatly nice Nikuoki.
