This blade belongs to Jyo jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length: 68.9 cm or 27.12 inches.
Sori : 1.9 cm or 0.74 inches.
Width at the hamachi: 3.05 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 1.94 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era: Late Kamakura period to early Nanbokucho period.
Shape: Regular width and thickness Katana.
The shape is an elegant old style.
Jigane : Itame Hada and Mokume Hada with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Ko Nie Deki, Suguha base with Ko-Ashi.
The Nioikuchi is thick. The Habuchi is soft. The Hamon is graceful.
In Ha, there are fine Sunagashi and Kinsuji.
Boshi is Notare and Hakikake style.
Special feature: This sword is attributed to the Senjyuin school of Yamato province. Senjyuin is the name of a subsuduary temple of the Todai-ji temple at Nara. There were two schools: one had its origin in Yukinobu circa Ninhei (1151), consisted of Yukiyoshi, Yoshiyuki, Ariyuki, Yukimasa, etc. The other had its origin in Shigehiro, circa Nin-an (1166), consisted of Shigenaga, Shigemura, Yasumura, Shigehisa, etc. The Senjyuin temple was destroyed in 1567 because of Hidehisa Matsunaga’s troop set it on fire. As the result the school had disappeared.

Tsuba: Brass, plant pattern is engraved.
Fuchikashira and other fittings: Brass, plant pattern is engraved.
Saya : Aogai Chirashi Saya.
Menuki: Dragon is engraved with gold color.
