Jigane :Koitame-hada mixed with Ko-Mokume-hada, Jinie attached, vague Shirake Utsuri appears to be soft Jigane.
Hamon :Niedeki, sharpy Suguha, Boshi turns back largely round like Yakizume.

Special Feature:Mihara school in the Kamakura period and Nambokucho period is called “Komihara” and the ones in the Muromachi period is called merely “Mihara” and the ones from the late Muromachi period is called “Sue Mihara”. This work apparently seems like Nambokucho shape with its wellness of Jigane, but Hamon is a little bit hard and Suguha is sharp, we suppose that is why the NBTHK judged this as the early Muromachi period.

Koshirae :
Tsuba:Oval Shakudo-Nanako Tsuba. The rim is covered by gold.
Fuchikashira:The patterns of the soldiers on the horse fighting in the flows of the river are engraved with gold color. Perhaps the fight at Kawanakashima?
Saya :Odd painted Saya.
Menuki: On Shakudo-plate, a warrior is engraved with gold color.
Kogai: On Shakudo-plate, a dragon is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: The work shaped like Nambokucho works, the blade is broad and has engravings on the both front/back side, beautiful with its O- Kissaki. Jigane is also beautiful and sharpy Suguha-deki is supposed to be popular among the Nihonto experts. Koshirae is unified with warriors and perhaps the fight at Kawanakashima is engraved. Katana and Koshirae are well-made and we truly recommend this work for you.
