This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki : gold wrapped double habaki.
Blade length : 66.6 cm or 26.22 inches.
Sori :1.7cm or 0.67inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 3.15cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.25cm or 0.89 inches.
Kasane : 0.74 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Heian period. Genreki. 1184.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage(cut shortened) wide
and thick and engraved bo-hi on both side.
Sori is deep and longer kissaki gorgeous style.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach
excellent jigane and utsuri appear.
Hamon :Konie deki deep nioikuchi choji midare hamon
with ashi like morning mist sunagashi and kinsuji work.
Special feature: Kobizen Toshitsune is a stream of the Kobizen Masatsune
school. Toshitsune was a son of the Mitsutsune.
Generally Toshitsune is wide and active homon compare with
regular kobizen school which is low temperline.
From Aoi Art: Toshitsune is well known sword smti on Kobizen school
and worked late Heian period 800 years has passed.
The blade is very clear fantastic Jigane with Utauri.
This Haamon is deep nioikuchi Cyojimidare hamon and active
hataraki by sunagashi, kinsuji like morning mist.
Every time when I see the blade, graceful taste is coming up.
The blade is healthy without Kizu and scratches.
