This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :gold wrapped and copper double habaki.
Blade length : 71.5 cm or 28.15 inches.
Sori :2.27cm or 0.9 inches.
Width at the hamachi :3.07 cm or 1.2 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.39cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane 0.68: cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period Keicyo era.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage(cut shortened) wide and thick with deep
sori and long kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful
nice Yamashiro texture.
Hamon :Niedeki notare and gunome midare mixed
with sunagashi, kinsuji work.
Soshi:Notare and komaru turns back.
Special feature:This sword is nice Jigane and Hamon and deep sori and long
Kissaki which looks like Koto blade.
Before,the sword was accompanied with Kanteisyo but
recently the blade was submitted to NBTHK Shinsa, The blade became shinto Kinmichi.
The blade is Koto feeling
and also healthy nice looking shape. Koshirae is good condition.
Saya :Black roiro saya.
Tsuba :On the round syakudo plain Tsuba, the rim is covered gold color.
Menuki : A halk is standing on the matsu tree made
by shakudo plater with gold color.
Fuchikashira:On the syakudo nanako plate,
some design is engraved with gold color.
From Aoi Art:Probably the sword was cut shortened and made
as Koto blade because the blade looks like Koto feeling.
The blade itself nice shape and jigane, Hamon.
Koshirae(mounting) is good condition and good work.
Probably high ranking samurai folded this sword.
