This sword belongs to Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length : 74.9 cm or 29.48 inches.
Sori : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.86 cm or 1.12 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.81 cm or 0.71 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Regular size long Katana. The Sori is large.
The Kissaki is slightly long.
Jigane : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hadadatsu and visible to see the texture.
There are light Utsuri.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with Ko-Ashi.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi and fine Kinsuji.
Boshi is Togari Gokoro round shape.

Special feature: Slightly long blade with large Sori.
The shape is typical Muromachi period.
The Jigane is blackish. There are Utsuri.
We guess that this blade is Fujishuma school.
Fujishima school originated in Echizen province, present Fukui pref. in the 14th century.
In the mid 15th century,first generation of Tomoshige moved to Kaga and prospered there.
