This sword belongs to Jojo saku ranking.
The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki
Blade length : 68.1 cm or 26.8 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 2.98 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.04 cm or 0.80 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Later Kamakura period (around AD1330~)
Shape : Osuriage Mumei wide and thick blade with deep curve healthy blade.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained with Jinie attached. Beautiful surface makes us feel a moisture with Shirake-Utsuri appearing.
Hamon : Konie-deki Suguha with deep Nioikuchi as a great work of Enju.
Special feature : The founder of Enju school has started from Kunimura who was student of Rai Kunitoshi and the school made many swords at Hiho province Kikuchi area and continued up to Sengoku era.
From the signature ‘Enju’ which has meaning of ‘extend a life’, those blade were preferred as a gift between Daimyo.
Enju has several generation starting with Kunimura, Kunitada, Kunitoki, Kuniyoshi, Kuninobu worked at similar ages using same Enju signature.
Their style are similar to Rai school elegant Suguha.
The healthiness of the blade is preferable on this blade.

Menuki : Kurikara-sword carved with gold color.
Fuchi-kashira : Butterfly and hollyhock carved on Shakudo Nanakoji plate with gold color.
