The blade was polished.

Sori :1.5cm or 0.59 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.22cm or 1.26 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.37 cm or 0.93 inches.
Kasane : 0.7cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Showa 18 year (1943)
Shape : Wide and thick Katana with large Sori.
Kissaki is long.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with Ashi.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi and fine Kinsuji.
Boshi is Midarekomi style.

Sspecial feature:Kurihara Akihide, known as Kurihara Hikosaburo was born at Sano in Tochigi pref.
in 1879. He learned under Inagaki Masanori the Second and Horii Taneaki clan.
Akihide established Nihon-to Tanren Denshusho at Akasaka in Tokyo and made efforts to
train modern swordsmiths 50 strong include Amada Akitsugu, Akimoto Akitomo
and Miyairi Akihira. Akihide also  went into politics as a member of the House
of Representatives for Tochigi Prefecture. He passed away in 1954, aged 76.
