This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver single habaki.
Blade length : 63.8 cm or 25.1 inches.
Sori : 1.7cm or 0.67 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.18 cm or 1.25 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.94 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.78 inches.
The weight of the sword: 610 grams.
Era : Edi period Manji Era,1661
Shape : The blade has ordinary width and thickness
with deep sori and long Kissaki. Bouhi is carved on both side.
Jigane : Itamehada well grained with jinie attach. The texture is seen well.
Hamon :Niedeki, Togarigunome Midare up and down in Hamon,
there are fine Sunagashi and Kinsuji. Boushi is round shape.

Sspecial feature:  Ietada was born at Kanazawa Suzaki
and called Kichihei Jo. Generally this group’s sword makers called Darani.
This sword is very rear to say the signature :Kasyu ju Shichizaemon
jo Fujiwara Ietada with long and zokumyo(special name)
and also the marine date (Manji 4 Nen 2 Gotsu hi.)on the tang.
This signature and the date are both very precious data.

Koshirae :
Saya :black colored Saya with rock like pattern
Tsuba :On Otafuku style iron tsuba clouds and waves are engraved
with gold and silver color Nunome Zougan. Jyakushi Tsuba.
Menuki : Waves are engraved with gold and silver color.

From Aoi-Art: It is rare that swordmith’s zokumyo name
and date is engraved. This sword has nice jigane and clear
and bright hamon. All Koshirae was made by Jyakushi school.
