The blade was polished by highest ranking polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 71.6 cm or 28.1 inches.
Sori :2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.

Width at the hamachi :3.17 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.41 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.79 cm or 0.31 inches.

Era : Edo period Keio 2nd 1865
Shape : Wide and thick sword with regular Sori
and longer Kissaki. Bohi and Soehi are engraved on both.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada well grained. Jinie attached beautiful Jigane.
Hamon : Niedeki deep Nioikuchi Choji-Midare Hamon. Ashi, Sunagashi, Kinsuji worked.

Special feature: Masa-aki was studied making sword from Hosokawa Masayoshi
and he made swords for Tsuyama Matsudaira clan. His Yasurime is same
at all as his master’s so it is difficult to distinguish.

From Aoi Art: We have Masa-aki’s Juyo sword in the past but we think the quality
of this sword is better than the Juyo which we had. We can says this is one
of his masterpieces. We strongly recommend you the sword with highest ranking polish and nice carvings.
