The weight of the sword 810 grams.
Era : Showa period, wartime.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick, it has moderate Sori and longer Kissaki. 4cm Ububa remains.
Jigane : Largely-grained Itame-hada with Jinie and Chikei.
Hamon : Nie-deki, small Gunome-midare mixed with small Choji with Ashi, there’re Sunagashi and long Kinsuji in places.

Special Feature : Nagamitsu worked at the prison in Okayama prefecture and he taught forging there, the swordsmith Emura learned forging in the prison also.
These swords produced during the war time were not polished properly so that they are often confused with other inferior Showato, the Hamon of which is made by oil tempering.
Like Yasukunito, I think these nice Showato would be acknowledged in the future.

From Aoi Art : Nagamitsu used 3 signatures, Nagamitsu, Nagamitsu-saku, Ichihara Nagamitsu, and Okayama Ujo Nagamitsu. In my opinion, the swords with longer signature are made well.
This sword has nice Jigane. and the Hamon, which has long Kinsuji, resembles Nagamitsu of Kamakura period.
