Signature : Ichi Hizen Kuni Saga Ju Dewa Kami Yukihiro.
Sayagaki was done by Tanobe sensei :
Hizen Kuni Dewa Kami Yukihiro the signature is long Kanjji characters first generation. beautiful bright and clear Hizen texture wonderful grain and texture with long Ashi excellent work.
The length of the blade is 73.2cm Chinchin Chocho (the item is rare keeping nice quality. Tanzan (Tanobe Michihiro)
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jojo saku, Jo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to the top ranking.
The blade was polished by one of the best polisher.
Habaki :Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 73.2cm or inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 3.06 cm or inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.2 cm or inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era. (1661~1672)
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with suitable curve and long Kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained with Jinie attach beautiful Hizen konuka hada texture.
Hamon : Niedeki Choji-midare with deep Nioikuchi Hamon Ashi scatter long. There are many Sunagashi and Kinsuji work in Hamon.
Special feature : Yukihiro was a swordsmith of Hizen province. He is the second son of Hashimoto Yoshinobu. Yukihiro got the title of Dewa Daijo in 1648 and ranked up to Dewa (No) Kami in 1663.
He moved to Nagasaki to learn under Hisatsugu and Tanenaga who were skilled to use western steels exported from Dutch.
Later he became a retained swordsmith of the Nabeshima family and lived at Nagase town.
He passed away in 1683, aged 66.
This blade is quite healthy and fantastic without any flaw.
