This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki :gold wrapped single habaki.
Blade length : 68cm or 26.8 inches.
Sori :1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.95cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.34cm or 0.92inches.
Kasane : 0.8cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Edo period Horeki era. (1751)
Shape : The blade is regular width and thckness with rather deep sori and long kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with jinie atttach beautiful Konuka hada which typical Hizen texture.
Hamon :Niedeki Notare gunome midare with small ashi and yo work. Boshi is bigger notare round shape.

Special feature : He was called as Hashimoto Shinzaemon and named Tadahiro while his father lived.
At Kansei 2nd year June, he succeeded his father and changed his name to Tadayoshi.
The quality is very similar with 5th generation Tadayoshi.
Generally his sword’s hamon is Suguha hamon. He passed away 6th of December Bunka 12th.(1829)

Koshirae :
Saya : Reddish brown color ishimeji style.
Tsuba : On the round shape iron Tsuba, dragon is carved in openwork. signsture:Echizen Kinai.
Menuki : a dragon is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: dragon is engraved by syakudo plate with gold color.

From Aoi-Art:Hizen to(swords) are well known beautiful Jigane which is called konukahada. Nabeshima daimyo had kept as the top secret sword material and also Hizen sword makers also had kept as the top secret until late Edo period.
Neighbor country Bungo province, sword makers made almost quite same Hamon but couldn’t make Jigane like Hizen to.
Nabeshima family exported these nice swords to other districts as exported items. This beautiful sword was benefited finance of a feudal clan.
This sword looks first generation the era of Hizen Jyunin Tadayoshi. The Jigane is nice without kizu and flow.
