This sword belongs to Jojo saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold wrapped double Habaki.
Blade length : 68.2 cm or 26.9 inches.
Sori : 0.91cm or 0.36 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 2.95cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.26 cm or 0.89inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanei era. (1661~)
Shape : The blade is regular size, thicknessm width with small curve. Kaen Fudo and Bonji are engraved on one side of the blade and on the other side, Kenmaki Ryu is engraved.
Jigane : Koitame Hada well grained with Jinie attach beautiful Hizen texture.
Shinogiji : Koitame-hada and small Masamehada mixed.
Hamon : Niedeki Notare and Gunome Midare and the style keep continuing from the Hamachi to the Kissaki.

Special feature : Hizen Kuni Junin Minamoto Moritoshi must be the student of Tadayoshi the first generation because of the high quality of the engraving.
probably he assisted his master rather then making by himself.
According to the Sayagaki, Honami Koson the top connoisseur of the blade judged this blade is very rare and precious.
This sword is mentioned on the book “Senpu-do highest ranking sword” #46th.
45 years ago, NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho was very high ranking.
This sword was treated as same as Kunihiro, Kiyomaro and Kotetsu Bungo Yukihira and so on.
This beautiful engraving is similar quality as Tadayoshi the first generation.
Probably this engraving was done by Umetada Munenaga.

Koshirae : Higo Koshirae.
Saya : Red and silver saya.
Tsuba : Sakura, the cherry blossom is engraved openwork on round shape iron Tsuba with gold color.
Menuki : Cherry blossom are carved on Shakudo plate.
Fuchikashira : Some design are carved on iron plate, inlayed with silver.

Guarantee : NBTHK Hozon paper (We are thinking this blade would pass Tokubetsu Hozon though the item is consigned from other customer, we can only give guarantee for Hozon paper)
