The blade was polished
Habaki : Silver single habaki.
Blade length : 71.6 cm or 28.19 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.63 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.17 cm or 1.25 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.42 cm or 0.95 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Late Edo Period
Shape : Some original tang is left and it is wide and thick strong looking katana. It is healthy katana
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie structure gunome midare with mixture of choji midare.
There is some ashi well attached. Boushi is midare komi style.

Special feature : Hime Hanshi MInamoto Akitoshi is a sword smith of Harima province. He was living in HImeji.
He was successful as a former swordsmith of Himeji castle until Keio 3rd year(1867) however,
he was forced to stop his work as the sword prohibition was operated.
The condition is good so it is most regretted.
