Shinto: Jyo saku: Oowazamono: Settsu province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jojo saku, Jo saku and regular saku)
This Higo kami Kuniyasu belongs to Saijo saku ranking.

The blade was polished by high rank polisher.
Blade length : 79.4 cm or 31.25 inches.
Sori : 2.6 cm or 1.02 inches.
Mekugi :2
Width at the hamachi : 3.21 cm or 1.26 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.16 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Edo period. Kanbun era.
Shape : 3.21cm wide and thick blade. Nice shape long Katana.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached. The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon : From Hamachi is Suguha, and then Gunome Midare and Choji Midare. 
It looks like Kobushi Choji. In Ha, there are many long Kinsuji and Sunagashi.
Boshi is Notare round shape.

Special feature : Higo kami Kuniyasu, his real name is Kobayashi Minamoto Zaemon.
He is a younger brother of Kunisuke 2nd generation. His style is also looks like Kunisuke 2nd generation.
Kunisuke 2nd generation is well-known sword smith with nice Kobushi Choji Mirare.
But quality of Kuniyasu blade is better than Kunisuke.
We think that this blade is the best of the blade in the Kuniyasu’s Juyo blades.

Tsuba: Iron Tsuba, horses are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: gourd‐shaped is engraved.
Saya: Black Saya with blue shell.
Menuki: dragon is engraved.
