shirasaya. Dr. Kanzan Sato wrote the saya-gaki in summer 1961.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This blade belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length: 68.5cm or 27inches.
Sori: 1.3cm or 0.51inch.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 3.12cm or 1.23inches.
Width of the kissaki:2.16 cm or 0.85 inches.
Thickness at the hamachi:0.855cm or 0.34inch.
Era: Edo period. Kanbun era (February 1665.)
Shape: The blade is rather wide and longer Kissaki(point) nice looking shape.
Jitetsu: Itame hada(wood brock pattern) well-tempered with much Jinie attach and on the Ji, many Chikei work. It is easy to see the Jigane forged mark.
Hamon: Nie deki Gunome midare hamon deeper Nioikuchi.

Special feature: This Kanesaki was called Imamura Hanzaemon and lived in Hiroshima.
One of his sword was made the signature like that Kanesaki made this sword at under the Hiroshima castle.
Dr Kanzan Sayagaki says that This sword was made Geisyu
Insyu Jyu Fujiwara Kanesaki Kanbun 4 Nen ” gatsu kichijitsu deki Mezurashiku Ko-siryo nari
Hacyo 2 syaku 3 sun 5bu Ari Syowa 36 nen Seika Kichijitu Kanzan si.
Meaning:Insyu Jyu Kanesaki This sword was made at Geisyu(Hiroshima prefecture)
Kanbbun 5 Nen Feburualy Lucky day.
This sword is very rare and has good data and wrote the Sayagaki 1961 in the height of summer lucky day.
Kanzan wrote this sword on his diary.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Iron Tsuba, butterflies are engraved with gold, silver and Shakudo color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo, shells are engraved.
Saya : Black Ishime-Ji Saya.
Menuki: fishes are engraved with gold color.
