Bizen Jyu Shichiro daemon Jo Sukesada Tensyo 11 is reportedly the son of the Genbei Jyo Sukesada.
The sword is forged really well and shows characteristics of the swordsmith.
The Length of the blade is 2 syaku 1 sun 4 Bu. Tanobe Michihiro.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saki ranking.
The blade was polished by a high ranking polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 63.63 cm or 25.05 inches.
Sori :1.82cm or 0.72 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi :3.05 cm or 1.2 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.0cm or 0.79inches.
Kasane : 0.7cm or 0.276 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period, Azuchi Momoyaama period 1583.
Shape : The blade is rather short like Katateuchi style sword.
Jigane : Koitame hada is mixed with komikume hada mixed. clear grain pattern. On the Ji, slight Utsuri apparent.
Shinogi ji : Koitame hada mixed with mokume hada.
Hamon : Konie deki cyouji midaire and Gunome midaire mixed,
In Hamon, nice sunagashi and Kinsuji apparent.
Special Feature : Sayagaki by Tanobe sensei says that the swordsmith is a son of Genbei Jyo Sukesada while other sword dictionaries says he is a son of Yosozaemon Jo Sukesada.
Either way, the swordsmith had a great father and his works are made very well.

Soroi Kanagu Ouka Ranman Zu.
Saya :Very delicate Aogai chirashi saya.with leather case.
Tsuba :Autumn landscape design. On the round shape shibuichi plate
rise up Mimi and Autumn flowers m night moon are engraved with iroe.
On the back, Japanese sushi and flying birds
in the distance are engraved with gold nashiji color.
Menuki : The designe is Mokuren .
From Aoi Bijyutsu : Shichiro Zaemon Sukesada was active at the end of Muromachi period / Azuchi Momoyama period.
At that time almost all swords were mass production but this sword is not. it must be made for Daimyo or a high ranking Samurai.
Jigane has really nice Hada, Midare Hamon is awesome as well, in particular, this active Hataraki.
The Koshirae, which has NBTHK Hozon paper, suits this masterpiece very well. the Saya is quite in good condition as it has been covered in the leather case.
