The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper single habaki.
Blade length : 60.606 cm or 23.85 inches.
Sori : 2.12cm or 0.83 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.15cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.69cm or 0.27 inches.

Era : Early Edo period.
Shape : Regular width and thickness Katana with rather deep Sori,
longer Kissaki, short size Katana.
Jigane : Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with Ara Nie and thick Nioikuchi. There are Yaki on the Shinogi-Ji.
Boshi is Midarekomi, Kaen, and Hakikake style with Kinsuji.

Special feature:There are several stories about Kunishige.
Kunishige is thought to have been in late Muromachi period.
There are some such as Mizuta Ooyogo Kunishige,
Ootsuki Yogoro Kunishige,Yamashiro Daijyo Kunishige and so on.
Generally Mizuta school made active hamon with thick nioikuchi.

Saya : Aogaichirashi with black color Urushi line.
Tsuba : Thick Mokko shape iron Tsuba, Kiku flower is engraved.
There is a signature: Goto Kiyotoshi.
