We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the collaborative works of Minamoto Moriyoshi and Yoshitsugu.

Shape: Wide and thick blade with an extended kissaki. A groove (bo-hi) is carved through both sides. A robust and solid work.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada is densely forged and of excellent quality.
Hamon: Nie-deki gunome-midare with deep nioiguchi. Sunagashi and kinsuji work actively within the blade, and the boshi is midare-komi.

Features: Minamoto Moriyoshi was born in 1920 (Taisho 9) in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture.
He apprenticed under Kongobei Moritaka Yasuhiro in 1934 (Showa 9) and later studied under Enju Taro Nobushige.
He received the signature “Minamoto Moriyoshi” and later in 1941 (Showa 16), the signature “Enju Nobutsugu.”
From his first submission to official competitions, he participated continuously and won numerous awards including the Director-General of the Agency for Cultural Affairs Award, Mainichi Newspaper Award, Kunzan Award, and Kansan Award.
He was designated Mukansa (without examination) in 1985.
He left behind many powerful works in the Soshu tradition.
He passed away in 1990 (Heisei 2) at the age of 70.
He is particularly known for his mastery of the Soshu tradition and for leaving behind many works in the style of Kiyomaro.
