We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This work is ranked as Jyo Saku for Kashu Ju Darani Tachibana Katsukuni.
Habaki: Silver single-layer
Blade Length: 66.9 cm (26.34 in)
Curvature: 1.6 cm (0.63 in)
Mekugi Hole: 1
Width at Base: 3.17 cm (1.25 in)
Width at Tip: 2.51 cm (0.99 in)
Thickness: 0.6 cm (0.24 in)
Sword Weight: 660 g (1.46 lbs)
Era: Edo period
Shape: The blade is wide with a slightly thick build, has a moderate curvature, and a large kissaki.
Jigane: Koitame hada, well-forged, forming a beautiful pattern.
Hamon: Nioi-based suguha with koashi, and the boshi follows the hamon to the tip, returning in a small circle.

Features: Kashu Ju Darani Tachibana Katsukuni is known for his three-peaked hamon, but this work features a suguha hamon, which is a significant deviation. Additionally, the large kissaki is unusual for Katsukuni. The signature, although well-carved, appears somewhat weak, so we regretfully cannot guarantee its authenticity. Please consider this when purchasing. Nevertheless, the blade itself is well-made and recommended.

Saya: Black lacquered saya
Tsuba: Round tsuba with grooves and patterns engraved in the center. A swordsmith's tsuba.
Fuchikashira: Iron with gold inlay patterns.
Menuki: Copper with high-relief lion designs.

Aoi Art’s Comment: This solid sword comes with koshirae. I have never seen a piece with such a large kissaki before, so it is treated as without guarantee. The blade is well-polished and can be enjoyed as it is.
