Sayagaki: Kongo Byoei Ji Minamoto Moritaka. Ubunakago with 8 characters Mei. Itame Hada well grained and mixed with Jinie. Hamon is Suguha, also Nagago is Sotoba-Gashira style. Excellent sword with many special features of the sword smith and the school. It was made around Tenbun period.
Length is 69.7cm.

Jigane : Itame-Hada and Mokume-Hada mixed. Shirake Utsuri and Hadame visible clearly.
Hamon :Niedeki Suguha with Ko-Ashi. Boshi is round shape Hakikake style.

Special feature: Kongo Btoei Ji Minamoto Moritaka’s founder was started
around the end of the Kamakura period and continue to end of
Muromachi period. They usually make deep Sori sword with
Suguha with Nioikuchi and Ko-Ashi.

From Aoi Art: The shape looks like the sword of Kamakura period but this was made in Muromachi period, around 1500. They usually just make Suguha sword so we think they are made swords for
monk soldiers.
