The weight of the sword: 290 grams.
Era : Edo period. Around Kanbun era.
Shape : Kanmuri Otoshi Style Tanto. It reminds of Naginata.
Thick and egular width tanto.
Jigane : Ko Itame Hada well grained. This is blackish Kokkoku Jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki, wavy Hamon with rather thick Nioikuchi.
In the Ha, the are Sunagashi and Kinsuji. Boshi is Hakikake and Yakizune style.
Special feature: Echizen Koku Shimosaka Tsuguhiro. He also called as Omi Kami. He was active in Edo and Omi province. The shape is very rare.
There is a number of Tanto in Muromachi peirod.
But in Edo period, the Tanto manudactured is remarkably decreased.
It is very presious that the Tanto was made in Edo period.
