This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku for the smith Takada Ju Taira Shigehide.

Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.97 cm (0.38 in).

Era: Muromachi period, around Eiroku era (1558–1570)
Shape: A slightly long and slender Jumonji Yari with an elegant form.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada, well-forged and of excellent quality.
Hamon: Nie-deki, with a wavy hamon that turns round at the boshi.

Features: This is a work by the 2nd generation Takada Ju Taira Shigehide, with excellent craftsmanship and beautiful jigane.
It is believed that Odawara Matazaemon ◻︎ Fujiwara no Ason Shigenao commissioned this Jumonji Yari.
The signature is unquestionably genuine.
A superbly crafted piece—highly recommended for acquisition.
