Habaki: Single-layered copper
Blade Length: 70.2 cm (27.64 in)
Curvature: 1.5 cm (0.59 in)
Mekugi Hole: 2
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.08 cm (1.21 in)
Width at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.12 cm (0.83 in)
Thickness: 0.73 cm (0.29 in)
Sword Weight: 775 g (1.71 lb)
Era: Mid-Edo Period (circa 18th century)
Shape: The tang bears a gold-inlaid Hon'ami signature, and the omote side is inscribed with Rai Kunitoshi.
Jigane: The ko-itame hada is well-forged, with a refined and beautifully structured grain extending into the shinogi-ji.
Hamon: The blade is quite weighty, with slight curvature and a somewhat long boshi.

Features: At first glance, it appears to be an older work, but the hamon is in the suguha style with active ko-ashi and visible utsuri. However, this utsuri seems to be artificially induced. The hamon also has a sense of hardness; while well-executed, it raises several questions. Therefore, it is considered a work from the Edo period. It is recommended for use as an iaito (practice sword for Iaido).
