The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold and silver foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 44.5 cm or 17.5 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the Hamachi : 3.10 cm or 1.22 inches.
Kasane : 0.61 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho period around Shohei era (1346~1369).
Shape : The wide blade Nagamaki Naoshi (fixed to use as Wakizashi from long Nagamaki) style forged around Nanbokucho period.
Jitetsu : Koitame-hada well grained with mixture of Ko-Mokume. Jigane is clear with Jinie attached, Utsuri appear and Chikei work.
Shinogiji : Itame hada same as Hiraji.
Hamon : Konie based with Kogunome Hamon mixed. Boshi turns round Yakizume style.

Special feature : This blade is fixed from Nagamaki to use as Wakizashi. Utsuri appear on beautiful Jigane. Sunagashi and Kinsuji works very active on Hamon. Shumei (the red signature wrote by Honami clan) is mentioned as ‘Sano Hiroyuki’ but from Jigane and Hamon of the blade, it also looks like Kaneyasu in Bingo province at same period.
We could not guarantee Shumei signature but condition of the blade is excellent whom ever forged this blade.
Nearly 7 centuries has been already passed from made.
